Through The Eyes Of Jesus

Actor Bruce Marchiano wanted to see the world through the eyes of the character he was playing. So as he prepared for the role of Jesus in a presentation of Matthew's Gospel, he prayed, "Lord, show me what it all looks like through Your eyes."

Stay Or Go?

Falmouth, Kentucky, residents faced a nightmare of a decision in early 1997. The nearby Licking River was rising at the rate of a foot an hour, and local officials were urging people to evacuate. Most people left, but others, either fearing looters or downplaying the severity of the flood, refused to go.

Focus!

John P. Robinson, often called America's "time guru," claims that people today sleep more than they think they do. He says that though they have more leisure time than ever, they still report feeling "stressed, rushed, and crunched for time."

Walk For Your Health

Physical exercise may help us fight off colds and infection. The theory is that a good workout puts our body in a condition similar to what happens at the onset of a fever. That's not all bad. A fever is the body's way of fighting back when micro-intruders get into our system. Increased body temperature aids our white blood-cell defense system while slowing down the action of bacteria and viruses. Exercise does the same thing. It releases chemicals into the blood that stimulate the brain to make our temperature rise.
