In a day when we are bombarded with dire warnings about over-population, we must remind ourselves that God, who created and sustains everything, is a God of abundance. The psalmist praised Him for His generous provision for His creatures.
The apostle Paul was serious about the gospel. He gave himself to the task of serving God with the same dedication that an athlete devotes to preparation for competition. While athletes train for a temporal prize, Paul endured tremendous hardship to win an eternal reward.
A man makes some unusual markings in his Bible. Next to some verses he puts a P, next to others PP, and by others PPP. He explains, "A single P refers to a promise of God, PP to a precious promise, and PPP to a precious promise proven!"
