Better With Than Without
The human body is made up of 10 trillion cells, which are home to some 100 trillion bacteria. A dime-sized patch of skin may hold up to 2 million bacteria. The presence of all those little critters might seem to be an overwhelming threat to our health. But scientists say that we would actually be sicker without the bugs than we are with them. The good bacteria apparently help fight off the bad bacteria that cause diseases.
